A downloadable game for Windows

Optimized for stereo headphones, this short audio-visual experience allows you to explore Beethoven's 5th Symphony in an exciting new way.

This experience is in the first-person perspective. You wander around a small musical practice room while Beethoven's 5th is being played by magically floating instruments. The music, however, is separated by orchestral track (strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion), so you can utilize the in-game character and controls to isolate any track you want or hear them in new, fully immersive ways.

The 5th is an iconic piece of music, and even though I listened to it dozens of times while making this experience, I heard something new each time.

Give it a try, and remember: this is designed for stereo headphones. It won't sound quite right on standard speakers.

It's a quick experiment. Let me know what you think on Twitter: @itreallyisamre

If you want to use this tool with a different piece of music and you have the isolated audio tracks, I'm more than happy to work with you in putting it in!
